Last
year's festival has been a great success. Smaller than RingCon,
the FF offered a family-like atmosphere and gave the guests
more opportunities to walk around (add: hop on other people's
back to use them as warhorses...did I hear someone mention Rosinante?).
This
second festival possesses last year's experiences and publicity.
So we can expect more people and less 'problems' (of which most
of us had little enough).
Mark
and Craig agreed to act as MCs again. Moreover, Mark has prepared
something special for us. Here comes a quote from the festival's
official newsletter:
"...our talented co-host, Mark Ferguson (Gil-Galad)
has organised some brand new entertainment performed exclusively
by our LOTR guests attending The Festival, you are going to
love this!
Following
on from the hilarious “radio play” performed at
the last Festival by Craig Parker (Haldir) and other LOTR actors
attending, we have another treat for you. Mark is in the middle
of writing a brand new game show, called “Ring Wars”
which will be performed exclusively for you at The Fellowship
Festival in August. This is what Mark has told us what he has
in store for you
RING WARS
STARS OF MIDDLE EARTH FACE EACH OTHER ON THE BATTLE-FIELD OF
THE 21ST CENTURY.... THE GAME SHOW! Two teams of Lord of the
Rings guests pit their skills against each other and the clock
to find out if they are true Tolkien experts.... or just bimbo
actors.
Round 1: Battle of the Mind
Round 2: Battle of the Skills
Round 3: Battle of the Talents
Who will win? Only the audience can decide. The future of Middle
Earth is in your hands."
Sounds good, eh? Hope to see many of you at the Fellowship Festival
2005!
